NFL star Tom Brady has confirmed the speculated reports that he will be parting ways with his wife and supermodel after 13 years of marriage. In a separate Instagram post on Friday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and the supermodel announced their separation and mentioned that they 'have grown apart' but 'wished the best for each other.' According to reports, Bundchen filed the divorce in Florida on Friday morning and Brady didn't challenge the divorce.
Terms of the settlement like property, custody of the kids, and other agreements have been figured out, but both have agreed to keep it confidential. However, parents to son Benjamin, 21, and daughter Vivian, 9, will reportedly share joint custody. Reports have also indicated that supermodel turned environmentalist activist made the first move by hiring a divorce attorney and Brady followed suit.
In her Instagram story, Gisele Bundchen wrote, "With much gratitude for our time together. Tom and I have amicable finalized our divorce. "With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue to [co-parent] to give then the love, care and attention they greatly deserve." She further informed that separation is never an easy one and it’s been difficult to go through something like this.
"I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always," she continued. "I kindly ask that our privacy be respected during this sensitive time," she concluded. Meanwhile, NFL star stated that the pair will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.
"Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world. However, we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written. And we kindly ask for privacy and respect as we navigate what is to come in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you," he wrote.
