While the Men in Blue had a winning start to their ODI World Cup 2023, the Afghanistan just fell short against the Shakib Al Hasan-led side and lost their opener by six wickets. But now both teams will try to move on their next match, where India take on Afghanistan at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on October 11.

Ahead of this crucial match, Afghan skipper Hashmatullah Shadid addressed the media in a press conference on October 10, Tuesday. The side, which boasts of a brilliant bowling attack also threw light on the Indian bowlers. The 28-year-old spoke about the Indian spin trio of Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav.
“We play better spinner that Indian team has,” Shahidi said at the presser.
While India sits at fifth place in the points table with two points from a game so far, Afghanistan is placed seventh with zero points after losing to Bangladesh in their opener.
