Young Indian cricketing start Nitish Kumar Reddy has made several headlines after his maiden international hundred during the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne. After a memorable knock, the 21-year-old was also seen spending precious moments with his family. Now, Nitish’s sister Tejaswi recently opened up about her relationship with her brother. Tejaswi said that she is proud of her brother for what he has achieved so far.
She also talked about sharing a ‘Tom and Jerry' kind of relationship with her brother Nitish Kumar Reddy, not expressing their emotions much, but admire one another for their committment towards each other. "We share a Tom and Jerry kind of bond, but we love each other from inside. We don’t show it much, but we love each other. I am a very proud sister. He always used to say, ‘I will make you proud one day’ and yesterday was that day,” Tejaswi was quoted as saying by CricTracker.

Nitish Kumar Reddy came as a saviour for the Indian batting lineup in the Boxing Day Test after the score was reduced to 191/6. The 21-year-old went on to score his maiden international ton in his fourth Test, and also became the highest run-getter for India in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy down under. Along with this, Nitish Kumar Reddy als became the third youngest Indian player to score a Test hundred in Australia. He achieved the feat at 21 years and 216 days, behind Rishabh Pant(21y 92d) and Sachin Tendulkar (18y 256d).
Talking about the match, after taking a lead of 105 runs in the first innings, Australia were at 228/9 by the end of day four. The hosts are now leading by 333 runs, and will be looking to add more runs before the fall of the 10th wicket to give India a competitive target to chase and lead the series by 2-1.
