Chennai Super Kings are hosting Punjab Kings in match number 41 of the ongoing Indian premier League (IPL). Both the teams are coming after a loss in their previous fixture. While Chennai Super Kings faced defeat at the hands of Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur, Punjab Kings lost to Lucknow Super Giants by 56 runs.
In the ongoing match, former Indian cricketer RP Singh, who is part of the broadcasters panel in IPL 2023 opened up on an incident from his playing days. The Indian pacer made a shocking revelation, stating that the team used to get bowling guidance from Zaheer Khan and not MS Dhoni.
“We used to get bowling guidance from Zaheer Khan and not MS Dhoni,” RP Singh said on-air during the IPL match between four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings.
The 37-year-old also added that the then Indian skipper wanted the bowlers to express themselves and analyze the game. Adding more to the conversation, Singh also revealed that MS Dhoni has changed a lot and “guides a lot these days”.
MS Dhoni has achieved several feats during his cricketing career. He is the only Indian skipper to win three ICC trophies for India. He recently became the wicketkeeper with most catches (208) in men’s T20 cricket. He is currently leading Chennai Super Kings in the 16 th edition of the tournament.
