After losing two back-to-back matches against West Indies, Team India bounced back in the third T20I at the Providence Stadium on Tuesday. India managed to win the game by seven wickets and 11 balls remaining at the end of the match while chasing a target of 160 runs.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first and opener Brandon King, who scored 42 off 42, and skipper Rovman Powell, who scored an unbeaten 40 off 19, to take the Windies at a decent total. Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets in his four overs while Mukesh Kumar and Axar Patel picked up one wicket each.
While chasing the target, India lost both their openers, debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal and out-of-form Shubman Gill, at a score of 34 runs in five overs. However, Suryakumar Yadav stepped up and scored 83-off-44 to put India in a commanding position as Tilak Varma continued his strong form and supported him for another end.
This was a do-or-die game for India as they had already lost two of their five-match ODI series against West Indies. India stars like Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, and Kuldeep Yadav forced the game in their side's favour at the Providence Stadium on Tuesday. The fourth T20I between India and West Indies is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 12.
