Devon Thomas, a West Indies wicketkeeper-batter has been charged with seven violations of the ICC's anti-corruption code, including "contriving to fix" games. Thomas has 14 days to respond after being selected for the West Indies team for the three-match ODI series against the UAE in Dubai. The charges have been brought against Devon Thomas by the ICC for violations that occurred during the Caribbean Premier League, the Abu Dhabi T10, and the Lanka Premier League.

Two of the allegations are related to matches in the Caribbean Premier League in 2021, while four relate to matches in the Sri Lanka Premier League Twenty20 event. One has to do with the T10 Cricket League which took place in the United Arab Emirates in 2021.

He has been charged with participating in a deal that involved illegally interfering with the game's result. He is also suspected of having destroyed any supporting materials or evidence that were required to complete the investigation. Thomas neglected to disclose information about an attempt to engage in corrupt behaviour when he was a member of the Pune Devils team while he was playing in the 2021 Abu Dhabi T10 league. Additionally, he committed his final two offences while playing for the Barbados Royals and St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the previous two Caribbean Premier League seasons.

The West Indies Cricket board announced in a release addressed, “CWI (Cricket West Indies) is not directly involved in the process but remains firm in denouncing corruption in cricket, and fully supports the ICC ACU in its efforts to uphold the integrity of the sport.”

Devon Thomas made his appearance in the Test format for West Indies in the day-night Adelaide Test against Australia in December 2022. Since his debut in 2009, he has also played in 12 T20Is and 21 One-Day Internationals for the West Indies.
