Just 15 days ahead of the start of the ODI World Cup 2023 and the International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally released the official anthem of the tournament. But before the start of the event in India, the official kit sponsor of the Men in Blue jersey, Adidas is all set to release the World Cup jersey for the hosts.

While the sporting brand gave a sneak peek of the jersey in the promo, released on Tuesday, 19th September, the Men in Blue will have some changes from their original as they eye for their third ODI World Cup title at home this time. Here is this article, we’ll take you through all the changes in the jersey.

The vibrant new jersey for Team India boasts of a stunning makeover. One of the notable changes include the stars, which will be two from the earlier three, signifying the two ODI World Cup wins which came in 1983 and 2011.
Second important change which is also a prominent one is the iconic white stripes on the shoulder. The white stripes will now have the colours of the Indian tri-colour - orange, white and green.
Going with the slogan of “3 Ka Dream”, the ODI World Cup jersey of the host nation will also have the brand logo of the athleisure brand replaced by the ICC ODI World Cup trophy with the insignia of the host nation and the year of the tournament, that is India 2023.
The final change which can be seen on the newly launched jersey is the removal of the title sponsor, which for India is Dream11.
The official kit sponsor, Adidas will release the jersey on September 20 at 7:30 PM IST. The jersey is designed by Aaquib Wani, a young individual, based out of Delhi. He is a designer who has gained experience by collaborating closely with various brands, Adidas being one of them.
