On Saturday, October 28, Luis Diaz’s parents got kidnapped in his native Colombia, and while his mother was rescued shortly afterwards, the search for his missing father was still ongoing, as per Gustavo Petro, the President of the country. It led to Liverpool releasing a statement about the incident and said, “It is our fervent hope that the matter is resolved safely and at the earliest possible opportunity,” while stating that the welfare of Luis Diaz “will continue to be our immediate priority.”

Burnley manager Vincent Kompany links wait for VAR decision to “going to the casino”

During Burnley's defeat to Bournemoth by 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium, the VAR needed more than five minutes to confirm the original on-field call of disallowing the late goal from Jay Rodriguez. Red Bull driver Sergio Perez’s father Antonio Perez dismissed rumours of rift between his son and teammate Max Verstappen. Addressing the rift reports, Perez said that Verstappen is the best teammate his son has ever had. Antonio said, "Checo will definitely drive with Max in the same team for another 10 years. And in these 10 years, Checo might win a World Championship. I like that my son competes with the best driver in the world. And the best driver in the world right now is Max Verstappen."

Max Verstappen expected better Red Bull qualifying for Mexico City Grand Prix 

Red Bull racer Max Verstappen admitted that he expected his Red Bull to improve more as qualifying for the Mexico City Grand Prix. Verstappen said, “It’s always difficult to tell. I’m not a part of their team, so I don’t know what’s going on. I personally just expected it to be a little bit better in the evolution though qualifying from our side, and I think that’s where we were lacking a little bit.”

Borna Coric, Dan Evans among five players to withdraw from ATP Finals 2023

Five players have withdrawn from the ATP Finals, which is set to begin on November 12 in Paris. The names of those players include Borna Coric, Dan Evans, Denis Shapovalov, Pablo Carreno Busta and Cameron Norrie. While Coric didn’t reveal the official reason for withdrawing from the tournament, other players have taken their names out of the tournament due to their injuries.

India secured a comfortable 7-1 win over Thailand in the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2023 at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Indian goals came from Monika (7’), Salima Tete (15’), Sangita Kumari (29’, 45’, 45’), Deepika (40’) and Lalremsiami (52’). On the other hand,  Samanso Supansa (22’) scored Thailand’s only goal.
