Rivaling Elon Musk-owned social media platform Twitter, the Founder and CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg has launched ‘Threads’.  Like Twitter, this app also allows users to post up to 500 characters and is set to have similar features to the micro-blogging site.  Threads also allow users to add individual or carousel photos and videos to their feeds.

Posts on the Meta platform will include content from accounts one follows and also from creators suggested by the platform's algorithm. Users can interact with the content by liking, commenting and reposting. Similarly, the Threads also allow quoting a post and sharing it to their Instagram story or feed.

Talking about its comparison with Twitter, Mark Zuckerberg said, "It'll take some time, but I think there should be a public conversations app with 1 Billion people on it. Twitter has had the opportunity to do this but hasn't nailed it. Hopefully, we will."
