Former Pakistani cricketer ex-PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja recently spoke about the impact of MS Dhoni on this year’s IPL season. The entire cricketing globe was in awe of what a wonderful season 2023 for the IPL was. The IPL 2023 has received high accolades from the game's greats for its frequent 200-plus totals, thrilling chases that went down to the final ball, and the emergence of new players like Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Ruturaj Gaikwad to push the limits of the sport.

The season came to a fitting end with a thrilling Final between the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, which saw the team in the yellow win on the very last ball to claim their fifth league title. Raja lavished praise on the league's 16th edition and said that it would be remembered for the CSK skipper. He has a successful YouTube channel called ‘Ramiz Speaks’ where he has posted more than a thousand videos. He is quite popular and has also garnered over 1.5 million subscribers on the channel.

While speaking on his channel, Raja said, "This IPL will be remembered for the colour yellow, and for MS Dhoni, because his humility, the Dhonimania, his captaincy, his calmness, and his keeping will be remembered for the ages." MS Dhoni won his fifth IPL title as a captain this season. “But most of all, this IPL will remember for the moment when a legend like Sunil Gavaskar asked MS Dhoni to sign an autograph on his shirt. There cannot be a bigger compliment for MS Dhoni,” he added further

Talking about the young talent that has risen through this season, Raja said, “It will be remembered for young batting talent, the likes of Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad. These are stars who’ll decorate these grounds for many years to come. The season will also be remembered for the big names that were benched and players from small nations who made a big mark.”
