Paris Saint Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, has settled the GOAT debate on his part.  The winger is currently one of the best players in the world and the closest player to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo’s level in the current generation, along with Manchester City striker Erliing Halaand. An old video of the Frenchman about his comment on the GOAT debate has resurfaced and gone viral on social media.

It is well known that Mbappe has been a huge Ronaldo fan since his childhood days, but since then he has played with the other GOAT , Lionel Messi, for two seasons at PSG.  Though the four-time Champions League winner left the Parisian club this summer, there have been multiple videos documenting Mbappe’s excitement for Messi.

"I was a big fan of Cristiano when I was young. I started to love Messi too because when you are a big fan of Cristiano when you are young, you can't see how Messi is good because you love Cristiano. But I grew up, and I like both now," Mbappe said in the video.

The French star continues,"I like Messi and Cristiano because what Messi does at Barcelona is really, really amazing and Cristiano, too, because he played at Manchester United, then Real Madrid and now Juventus. He does an amazing job everywhere he goes."

Over the last couple of decades, the whole football world has been arguing about which of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest football player of all time. After Messi clinched the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the majority feel that he has cemented his place as the undisputed GOAT of the sport. Apart from Messi and Ronaldo, the likes of Pele, Diego Maradona, and Johan Cruyff are also in the conversation, but one thing is agreed among both sets of fans Ronaldo and Messi are certainly the top two.
