The rumours of Karim Benzema leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid have been proven to be true, as the club announced through a statement on Sunday that Benzema will be leaving the club as a free agent at the end of the season. The French striker registered his best seasons in 2021-22 for the club, where Benzema registered 44 goals and 15 assists in 46 appearances and averaged a direct goal contribution every 66.42 minutes, and won the 2022 Ballon d'Or award.
