Jaipur Pink Panthers beat the Puneri Paltan 32-29 to win their second PKL final after eight years. The Pink Panthers, after a slow start, dominated the finals on the back of V Ajith Kumar's stellar performance. Similarly, in the second half, Jaipur's defence came alive and helped them their second PKL title.

This defence was led by captain Sunil Kumar, who ended with five crucial tackle points to seal off the Pune defenders. On the attacking front,  Arjun  Deshwal also had a six-raid point night along with  V Ajith Kumar.

After the game, Jaipur Pink Panthers team owner Abhishek Bachchan was extremely elated and excited about this performance. In the post-game interview, he talked about how he was weary of the Puneri Paltan team from the start of the season and hence was proud of his team as they took down a genuine title contender.

He said, "I was afraid, because the Puneri Paltan have been one of the best team throughout. I told at the start that they will reach the finals. At the start of the season, I asked who had the trophy, It was only Sunil Kumar who had won a trophy earlier. I told them that at the end of the tournament, entire team shall have a trophy. My regards to the Puneri Paltans. Fazel has been a brilliant ambassador to the game."

Similarly, Pink Panther captain Sunil Kumar was extremely happy as well. He expressed how the team came together to win the title for the city of Jaipur and its fans. He also praised the team's defence which helped them dominate throughout the tournament.

He said, "We have won the trophy for Jaipur and for sir (Abhishekh Bachchan). A dream has been achieved tonight. Our defence is our strength. Kabaddi is all about defence and we have won the trophy with help of our defence. Arjun did well at the start. Ajith has also been very good. The players have played together as a team to win this trophy!"
