Indian cricketing great Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma to ok the world by storm as the couple announced the birth of their second child. Kohli, with the impending birth of his second child, took leave from Team India ahead of the five-match series against England. Their son was born on February 15 2024.
Kohli had taken a similar decision around the birth of his first child, Vamika when India toured Australia in 2021. With no reason given, there were countless reports and claims about Kohli's absence. But finally ending these speculations, the couple took to social media and announced the birth of their second child.

The post released by both said, "With abundant happiness and hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika's little brother into this world. Akaay is derived from the Hindi word 'kaya', which means 'body'. Akaay means somebody more than his physical self. In Turkish origin, the word 'Akaay' is used to describe the 'shining moon'.
