On Monday, May 6, Anshul Kamboj made a memorable IPL debut in the Mumbai Indians colours, while playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the second over of his spell, Anshul Kamboj had castled Travis Head, only for the third umpire to hit the no-ball siren inside the ground.

The next over from Anshul Kamboj had Nuwan Thushara drop a sitter off a catch of Travis Head at the third man region. But just a couple of balls later, he castled Mayank Agarwal, picking up his first wicket in IPL cricket before completing his spell of four overs for 42 runs.

Notably, in his young career, Anshul Kamboj has found decent success in domestic cricket for Haryana in all formats. The all-rounder has done the majority of his work for his state with the ball, but he is known to strike it big when need be.
