In the fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Ashutosh Sharma played an unprecedented knock of an unbeaten 66 off 31 and guided Delhi Capitals (DC) to a close one-wicket win against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Visakhapatnam. Following the huge target of 210, Delhi were under immense trouble after losing six batters in quick succession, however, Impact Player Ashutosh didn’t lose hope and stood tall to deliver the game in his team’s favour. In the last over of the match, when Lucknow were just one wicket away from success, Ashutosh held his nerves and clobbered a maximum to finish the match in style.

After the incredible knock, Ashutosh’s name is reigning the headlines. Following this innings, DC will raise their expectations from their 26-year-old. The match-winning effort has also got Ashutosh recognition in the cricketing circle as ardent supporters of the sport are keen to know about him. He broke into IPL in 2024 for Punjab Kings (PBKS). Playing his debut season, he hit 189 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 167.26. In the mega auction 2025 held in Jeddah, he went under the hammer and got a lucrative contract of INR 3.8 Crore from DC.
