Delhi Capitals have named Australian batting all-rounder Jake Fraser-McGurk as a replacement f or the South African pacer Lungi Ngidi who has been ruled out of IPL 2024, owing to an injury. The 21-year-old Victoria player, who has played just two ODI’s for Australia has been roped in for his reserve price of INR 50 lakhs.
McGurk debuted for Australia in the ODI series against West Indies in February 2024 and played just two games. In just his second game, he blazed 41 runs in just 18 balls, displaying his capability as a power hitter. He has also scored 525 runs in 21 matches in List A cricket with an astonishing strike rate of 143.83.
