Fast bowling-allrounder Kashvee Gautam was picked up for a whopping INR 2 Crore final bid by the Gujarat Giants in the Women's Premier League 2024 auction. The Beth Mooney-led Giants paid big bucks for the Chandigarh pacer, who broke into the limelight for her ten-wicket haul in a one-day game against Arunachal Pradesh at the women's domestic Under-19 competition in 2020.

The 20-year-old star also picked up a hattrick as she completed her 10 wickets and has been one of the most exciting prospects in Indian women's cricket. Born in Chandigarh, Punjab has grown into a tall hit-the-deck bowler and was told to work on increasing her pace by scouts after last year's WPL auction where she went unsold.
Since then she has made consistent improvement and given top performances in domestic cricket. The 20-year-old picked up 12 wickets in seven games at an economy of 4.14 at the Senior Women's T20 Trophy. In June, she played a crucial role in India's triumphant Under-23 squad at the ACC Emerging tournament in Hong Kong.
