Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik sent shockwaves across the internet after he announced his third marriage on January 20, Saturday. Malik got married to Pakistan actor Sana Javed amid divorce rumours with Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. The cricketer shared shared pictures of the wedding ceremony. Sana was linked to Malik on more than one occasion, and the rumours started when Shoaib wished Sana on her birthday last year.
Born on March 25, 1993, Javed is a Pakistan actress who appears in Urdu TV shows. She made her debut in 2012 with Shehr-e-Zaat and went on to appear in several serials. Javed rose to fame for her titular role in the romantic drama Khaani. Sana was born in Saudi Arabia to Pakistani parents, who hailed from Hyderabad Deccan. She completed her school at the Pakistan International School in Jeddah and later moved to Karachi to pursue higher education at the University of Karachi.
In October 2020, she married singer Umair Jaswal in a private Nikah ceremony in Karachi. The 30-year-old actress was linked to Malik on numerous occasions. The 41-year-old cricketer also came in support of Javed she was slammed for behaving rude towards juniors and make-up artists on the set. Malik tweeted, "I have known Sana Javed for quite some time now and have had the opportunity to work with her multiple times, from my personal experience I can only say that she has always been kind & courteous towards me & the people around us.”
After getting married to Malik, Sana Javed changed her username in the bio of her Instagram account, making it Sana Shoaib Malik. Their wedding came as a huge surprise to fans on both sides of the border with rumours still spreading on his divorce with Sania. Malik married Mirza after divorcing Ayesha Siddiqui in 2010. They got married in a traditional Muslim ceremony, and later had a Walima ceremony in Sialkot, Pakistan. Both have been living separately for some time now and continue to co-parent their son Izhaan, born in 2018.
