Saurabh Netravalkar made history as he picked up six wickets against the San Francisco Unicorns on Saturday in a MLC match. He decimated the Unicorns and sealed the game for his team with the outstanding bowling spell, registering figures of 6/9 in his 3.5 overs.

Batting first, Washington Freedom put up a score of 133 to defend. Considering the batting lineup of Unicorns, which consisted of Finn Allen, Mathew Wade and Aaron Finch, the match looked to be over, but Netravalkar pulled Washington back into the game with his fiery bowling. He got the crucial top order wickets of Mathew Wade, Marcus Stoinis and Shadab Khan by cleaning them up, and was also instrumental in clearing the tail by taking the wickets of Chaitanya Bishnoi, Haris Rauf, and Liam Plunkett and thus ensuring a playoff spot for Washington Freedom.
Netravalkar, who is of Indian origin, has played domestic cricket in India previously and has also represented India in the U-19 World Cup which was held in 2010. He was the highest wicket-taker for India.
