Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed that he is currently single and also revealed the plans for marriage after many of the tennis stars shared their wedding news in the off-season. The 21-year-old is hopeful to bring a change in his relationship status in the year 2025. Alcaraz played an Australian Open charity match with Australia’s Alex de Minaur on Wednesday, January 8, where Minaur defeated the Spaniard by 7-5 4-6 10-5.
After the match, both Carlos Alcaraz and Alex de Minuar shared light-hearted moments in a post-match interview. During the interaction, Germany’s Andrea Petkovic asked Carlos Alcaraz “Carlos… you’re not engaged… still on the market,” as quoted inn Sportskeeda. Replying to this, Alcaraz said, “Who knows this year [Laughing]... No, no, no, engagement so far. Single, so far. I laughed with some close people that during the break, 3 or 4 players got engaged. I thought it was my turn, but not yet."
I think you’re going to enjoy this marriage: Carlos Alcaraz’s cheeky marriage wish Alex de Minuar and Katie Boulter
Notably, Alex de Minuar also recently got engaged with British tennis star Katie Boulter. During the post match interview, Andrea Petkovic told Carlos Alcaraz that it could be a perfect time to wish the couple on their new journey. To this, Alcaraz jokingly replied, “"I mean, I already told him congratulations. I don’t know if you’re sure about it! [Laughing].” After that, the Spanish tennis player also came up with a cheeky congratulatory message for Alex and Katie.
“But no, I’ve seen them in the tournaments. I mean, I don’t know Katie very much but it seems that she’s a very nice person so I think you’re going to enjoy this marriage, hopefully everything is going to be good. And yeah, congratulations! As you said, I’m too young to talk." Carlos Alcaraz said.
