The Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings on Saturday, March 16 unveiled their jersey for the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Preity Zinta co-owned franchise revealed the much-awaited PBKS matchday jersey at the Elante Mall in Chandigarh.
During the jersey launch event, the PBKS co-owner along with skipper Dhawan unveiled the new colours of the Punjab-based franchise. During the ceremony, Zinta also revealed a shocking reason on why the side did not incorporate white, grey and silver in their jersey. She revealed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has prohibited the use of white, grey or silver colours in IPL jerseys, citing the use of white cricket balls in the tournament.

At one point of time, the Punjab Kings sported red and grey jersey, which was also regarded their finest. But their latest release features the colours red and blue. Speaking of their IPL 2024 jersey, which has been manufactured by playR, embodies passion, spirit and vigour, something which the Shers of Punjab stand for.
The new jersey has been designed with anti-sweat, anti-odour, anti-bacterial technologies and is also UV resistant. “We are delighted to launch our new jersey in front of our loyal fans, who are the backbone of the team.
