In the fifth encounter of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, IPL 2022 winners Gujarat Titans (GT) are taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, March 25. Shubman Gill will be hoping to return victorious on his team’s home ground, Punjab-based franchise will walk out with IPL 2024 winning captain Shreyas Iyer leading them from the front.
As the two skippers walked out for the toss, it was Gujarat Titans who emerged victorious. Shubman Gill opted to bowl first, thus inviting the PBKS to put the score first on the board. “We will bowl first. It is a good cricketing wicket. There is some dew here. Just keeping it in mind. Dew is a big factor here. Big targets can be chased down,” Gill said.
Why is Josh Inglis not playing PBKS’ IPL 2025 vs GT?
GT named Jos Buttler, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan as their three overseas in the XI, while kept Sherfane Rutherford and Glenn Phillips were named in the impact subs. On the other hand, PBKS went with Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Marco Jansen, leaving no place for Australian wicketkeeper-batter Josh Inglis.
