The first Test of the three-match series between Pakistan and England is now underway in Rawalpindi. Although there were reports of the match getting pushed back by 24 hours after there were reports of some fourteen England players hit with virus and a suspected bomb blast in the close proximity as well.
Later during the day on November 30, it was confirmed that the match will commence as scheduled. The match did get underway on December 1 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium when Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bat first.
With Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett in the middle, Naseem Shah was called to open the bowling for the hosts. In the opening over itself, the pacer gave away 14 runs. As the bowler came back to bowl his second over, third of the innings, there was a slight nip and would have been out if referred to the third umpire.
Although Pakistan could not go ahead with the DRS as it was reportedly that it is temporarily down due to some technical glitch. Fans also took a dig at this after this incident came into limelight.

Talking about the match, with both openers in the middle, England are 174/0 at Lunch break. While Zak Crawley is unbeaten at 91 (79), Duckett has scored 77 off 85 balls on his return after six long years.
