India women are hosting the Alyssa Healy-led Australia Women at the Wankhede Stadium in one-off Test. While the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side posted 406 runs on the board, taking a considerable lead at the end of Day, the Aussie Women at stumps on Day 3 took a 46-run lead. While Beth Mooney was a victim of a brain fade moment, Alyssa Healy escaped her dismissal on the same day in the final session.
The match saw a small controversy unfold in the 80th over with Alyssa Healy on strike. On the third delivery of the 80th over, Healy advanced down the pitch, playing a delivery from Harmanpreet Kaur. While the Indian skipper collected the ball and in a swift act, aimed it towards the batter noticing Healy step out of the crease. Just at this moment, Harmanpreet appealed for “obstructing the field’, but the umpires did not give her out.
