Netizens lauded RCB all-rounder Will Jacks for his match-winning heroics against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. Jacks recorded his maiden century and remained unbeaten on 100 to guide the side to their third win of IPL 2024. Gujarat Titans hosted Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 45th clash of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
After having been invited to bat first, Gujarat posted a total of 200 runs with a loss of three wickets. After GT lost their openers in a short span, Sai Sudarshan played a crucial knock of 84* runs off 49 deliveries to give the rivals a decent target in a run-scoring IPL 2024. In the second innings, after the visitors lost skipper and opener Faf du Plessis, batting wizard Virat Kohli and Will Jacks took the steering in their hands and played destructive knocks to guide the side to an easy win.
Jacks scored the first fifty runs in 31 balls and the next 50 runs in just 10 balls to finish the game with a giant six to assure RCB a nine-wicket win against the 2022 IPL winners. Netizens lauded the youngster for his significant knock on X.
Notably, the match also saw Virat Kohli crossing the 500-run mark in the IPL 2024.
