Brazil is all set for their Round of 16  game of the FIFA World Cup 2022. The Thiago Silva-led side will face South Korea  at 12 :30 A M IST  on December 6 (Tuesday)  at Stadium 974. While the Canary Squad are coming after their 0-1 loss against Cameroon in their last league stage game, South Korea will be high on confidence after their 2-1 win over Portugal in their Group H game.

 

Ahead of this all-important game, the Selecao Canarinho were handed some good news. Their star player Neymar Jr returned to training later on Sunday (November 4). Neymar suffered a horrific ankle injury during Brazil’s opening 2-0 win over Serbia in the FIFA World Cup 2022. However, he was sure to miss the five-time champions’ second league game against Switzerland, he also stayed out of their shocking loss against Cameroon.

 

During the pre-match press conference, Thiago Silva was asked about Neymar’s return in the starting line-up, to which coach Tite responded with a “yes”. “Neymar will train today in the afternoon and if he trains well he will play,” Tite said in the news conference.

 

The five-time champions have some injury woes in their line-up with Danilo hurting his ankle against Serbia and Alex Sandro sustaining a hip injury against Switzerland. However, Danilo is likely to return in the RO16 game, Sandro will remain out of this fixture. Alex Telles and forward Gabriel Jesus however have been ruled of the remainder tournament after suffering respective injuries against Cameroon on December 3.
