After an exciting super Saturday in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the action will now shift towards blockbuster Sunday on April 13, where the Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the afternoon clash, whereas Delhi Capitals (DC) will host the Mumbai Indians (MI) later in the evening. Ahead of the first match of the day, RR skipper Sanju Samson shared a positive update on his teammate Wanindu Hasaranga.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of RR versus RCB, Samson confirmed the availability of all-rounder Wanindu Hasarnaga. It is to be noted that the Sri Lanka all-rounder missed the side’s previous match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad due to personal reasons. In his absence, RR featured Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Hasaranga is available for selection: Sanju Samson ahead of RR vs RCB
While speaking at the pre-match presser, the RR skipper informed that Hasaranga has returned to India from Sri Lanka and will be available for selection for their upcoming fixture against the Bengaluru-based franchise. “Hasaranga has returned, he came back yesterday evening. He had gone home due to some personal reasons. He is now available for selection for tomorrow's game,” Samson said.
Talking of the Royals’ campaign so far in the IPL 2025, they have had a mixed season, having won two and losing three games thus far from their five matches. With four points to their name, the Rajasthan-based franchise are placed seventh with a net run rate of -0.733. They will hope to return to winning ways as they return home in Jaipur for their upcoming match.
