The World Athletics Championships 2023, the nineteenth edition of the biennial event, will be held from August 19 to August 27 in Hungary. The event will showcase the best athletes from around the world competing in various track and field disciplines, such as sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, relays, race walking, and marathon.
The World Athletics Championships 2023 will be the first edition to be held in a year following the 2021 edition being postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2019 event being called off. The event will also be the first to feature a mixed gender 4x400m relay as a medal event.
The National Athletics Centre, also known as the Ferenc Puskás Stadium, will host the event this year and can accommodate up to 67,000 spectators. The stadium has hosted several major sporting events, such as the UEFA Euro 2020 and the UEFA Super Cup previously.
