Only Sports Network, the official broadcaster of WWE in India, has hinted at a new campaign featuring WWE superstars Kevin Owen and Sami Zayn alongside Tamil actor Karthi. Karthi has previously featured in multiple campaigns for WWE, like the ‘WWE, 100% Shudh Sports Entertainment’ campaign, in which he featured alongside Drew McIntyre and John Abraham.
It has now been revealed that Karthi will again appear in either a promo or a campaign for the television network. Karthi’s next movie, titled Japan, is set to release in theaters on September 30, 2023. There are no details of the upcoming campaign yet available, but it is expected to be released in multiple languages like the last one.
Sony Sports hinted at the new campaign featuring these stars by posting the on-set photos on their social media. From the photos, it could be deduced that the shooting was happening outside the Tambaram railway station, which is located in South Chennai. "Superstars @Karthi_Offl, @FightOwensFight & @SamiZayn have something fun cooking 🤩For loads of entertainment coming your way, stay tuned on to #SonySportsNetwork," the television network captioned the photos.
In their most recent match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were defeated by Damian Priest and Finn Bálor of Judgment Day in a Steel City Street Fight at Payback. In this thrilling match, Owens hit Dominik Mysterio with a Swanton bomb while wearing a Mario Lemieux jersey. However, interference from Mysterio and Rhea Ripley ultimately led to Judgment Day winning on the night.
