Commonwealth Games 2022 silver medallist A bdullah Aboobacker will be in action in the Xiamen Diamond League 2024, which takes place in Xiamen, China on April 20, 2024. The Indian triple jump athlete comes into the tournament after a triumph in the Indian Open Jumps Competition in Bengaluru this year.
The said event will kickstart the Diamond League Season 2024, each taking place four to eight times during the season. The summit clash will be played in Brussels and will be a special affair considering it will be the lone event where every type of competition will happen.
Aboobacker, who clinched the Asian Athletics Championships last year will be the only representative from India in this competition. The Xiamen event will be the first of the 15 major events this year where top track and field athletes compete.
