After a disheartening defeat in the first T20I game against West Indies, Hardik Pandya is set to take on their rivals in the second of the five-game T20I series. Though the Indian side ended up losing the series opener, one name that grabbed headlines was Tilak Varma who got his maiden call up in the first T20I. Ahead of the second game, BCCI shared a video, wherein Varma could be seen speaking to Ishan Kishan before his maiden national call.

Varma opened his inning with a six, and almost scored a big number before he was dismissed at 22 ball-39. In the video posted by the BCCI, Kishan could be heard praising Varma for his skills, minutes before the T20I series. Kishan said, “I have seen your game personally as well and I know how you deal with pressure situations. You play a natural game, and you will do very well in this format."

Kishan wished his teammate good luck and said, “All the best to you.” Not only this, but the Jharkhand born also asked Varma about the song that resonates with Varma’s journey. To which Varma said, “One song that I feel depicts my journey is ‘Till I collapse’”.

In the second T20I that is scheduled on August 6, the Men in Blue would look forward to bounce back stronger and level the series. The game will be played at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
