The Indian Premier League has been a great platform for several young talents over the years. Quite a few of them have gone on to make their name in international cricket after they first announced thay they are ready to face the best in the world by making their opportunity count in IPL.
And it seems like young Abhishek Sharma has finally repaid the faith shown on him by his franchise SunRisers Hyderabad who not only retained him ahead of some of the big names but have even given him the opener's slot this season. The left-handed batter scored a match-winning 75 off 50 deliveries at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai as SRH defeated CSK by 8 wickets.
However, it is a Yuvraj Singh tweet that is now going viral after Shamra's knock. Notably, Yuvraj had told Sharma to match the great knock played by Shubman Gill on Friday and the left-handed's match-winning effort seems to have done just that.
Have a look at Yuvraj's tweet here:
SRH's first win of the season means Chennai Super Kings have now lost four in a row and will find proceeding to the Playoffs extremely difficult from here as this season is a ten-team competition. At the moment, the Men in Yellow occupy the ninth position on the table with a net run rate of -1.211. Only Mumbai Indians have a worse net run rate but they have a match in hand a win will take them above CSK.
