Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal got a huge hike in his IPL salary after Punjab Kings (PBKS) bought him for a whopping INR 18 Crore in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. The 34-year-old is an all-time highest wicket-taker in the cash-rich league and will be seen playing for his fourth franchise in IPL 2025. Chahal was a part of Rajasthan Royals since IPL 2022 before he was released by the franchise in the players retention ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction.
Yuzvendra Chahal has been one of the constant performers in the IPL throughout the years. The leg spinner finished as highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022 with 27 scalps and helped Rajasthan Royals (RR) to qualify for the final after 14 years. He was one of the most anticipated names in the mega auction. Now, he is set to play for PBKS in the upcoming edition.

Yuzvendra Chahal made his IPL debut in 2013 after he was bought by Mumbai Indian for INR 10 Lakh ahead of IPL 2011. After that, Chahal was sold to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ahead of IPL 2014. The leg spinner turned out to be the highest wicket taker for RCB with 139 scalps in 113 games before he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for INR 6.5 Crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Now, Chahal will be seen playing for PBKS in the upcoming season of the cash-rich league.
Yuzvendra Chahal will be seen taking charge as a spin spearhead for PBKS in IPL 2025. According to this, the leg spinner is likely to bowl four overs in a match in the upcoming edition. As a franchise is confirmed to play 14 league matches, Chahal will bowl 336 balls in the league stage, which means the leg spinner will earn around INR 5.35 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025. However, if SRH qualify for the final, Chahal is likely to bowl 408 balls throughout the tournament with a maximum 17 matches to be played. According to this, Chahal will earn around INR 4.41 Lakh per ball in IPL 2025.
