After the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) approached former India middle-order batter and NCA Chief, VVS Laxman, new reports reveal that Zaheer Khan is set to be roped in as their mentor ahead of IPL 2025. A report from Cricbuzz added that Zaheer Khan is in negotiations with LSG for the mentor role.
It is to be noted that Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are without a mentor since former India cricketer, Gautam Gambhir left the franchise after IPL 2023 to make a move to his former franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), with whom he eventually lifted the third IPL title. Moreover, Morne Morkel’s departure from LSG has additionally opened a new vacancy in the setup and if the talks turn into fruition, Zaheer Khan might replace the two prominent figures.
