Speaking after their 106-run loss in the second Test against India, English skipper Ben Stokes opened up Crawley’s dismissal. Stokes questioned the accuracy of DRS and said, “Zak Crawley’s LBW decision was the wrong one by the technology.” It is to be noted that the England opener was given not out by the on-field umpire, but India decided to challenge the call in the 42nd over of the innings.
Crawley was hit on the backfoot but it seemed that the ball was going down the leg side. However, when reviewed, the ball showed hitting the stumps, leaving the English skipper annoyed.

Speaking of the match, the Rohit Sharma-led side invited the visitors to bowl first after winning the toss in Vizag. The Men in Blue posted 396 runs on the board, courtesy a maiden double century from Yashasvi Jaiswal (209). However, the Indian bowlers-led by Jasprit Bumrah’s six-wicket haul in the second innings, restricted the Three Lions at the score of 253. From there on, the hosts mounted on the 143-run lead, eventually putting 399 runs to chase for the visitors.
While it was Zak Crawley who finished as the highest run-getter for the Three Lions as he scored 76 off 78 and 73 off 132 deliveries, the Ben Stokes-led side fell short of 106 runs as Ashwin and Bumrah scalped three wickets each, while Mukesh Kumar, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav bagged a wicket each.
