Preview

Zimbabwe will be competing against India in the fourth T20I of the five-match series at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. Following their famous win in the first T20I, Zimbabwe lost the next two matches without putting up a big fight against the Indian cricket team, to trail 1-2 in the series. For India, there is a very good chance of sealing the series in their favour in the upcoming match, to give more opportunities to their fringe players in the final T20I.

Pitch Report

The pitch at the Harare Sports Club in Harare has improved for batting in the last couple of T20I matches with the Indian cricket team posting over 180 on both occasions. Since India were able to defend both totals successfully, the average first innings score of 158 could prove to be quite competitive when Zimbabwe faces up against them in the upcoming fourth T20I.

Team Analysis

Zimbabwe

Although Zimbabwe were unable to chase down the 183-run target, Dion Myers stitched together a partnership of 77 runs with Clive Madande, completing his fifty shortly after. Earlier in the match, the Zimbabwe bowlers excluding Blessing Muzarabani and the captain Sikandar Raza were quite ineffective against the Indian batters, and their fielding was a major letdown as well.

India

Yashasvi Jaiswal played a very good knock at the top of the order in his first match of the T20I series after celebrating the T20 World Cup success back home, while the captain Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad were quite good with the bat, to help propel the Indian total beyond 180 runs. On the bowling side of things, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan gave the best possible start to the team, while Washington Sundar picked up a key three-wicket haul in the middle overs to put the breaks on the Zimbabwean rate of scoring.
