
The Russian French Open champion Mirra Andreeva recently opened up regarding her future plans and she stated that she would love to face Serena Williams at some point. Andreeva claimed that there wouldn’t be much changes in her mindset as she has been performing well without thinking too much about the game. She was also asked regarding the possibility of Serena Williams returning to the game and she answered by stating that it would be one of the highlights of her tennis career. Mirra Andreeva recently made the headlines with her dominant performance in the French Open and she will be looking to carry her momentum forward.
“I mean, that would be amazing, of course, to play against such a champion, such a legend. I mean, so many things that she's done for the sport and so many tournaments that she's won, it's unbelievable. And, you know, just thinking that if there is a small chance that she comes back to, uh, you know, if she's coming back to play singles and if there is like a small chance that I might be playing against her, I mean, that would be amazing. That would be also maybe one of the highlights of my career,” said Mirra Andreeva on CNN regarding facing Serena Williams.

Andreeva keeps her mindset tight ahead of future tournaments
Mirra Andreeva would be enjoying a fine run of form in her career at the moment as she was splendid in the French Open. She stated that she has set her mindset in such a way that she is prepared for challenges in every game and that she would give it her all to overcome it.
She claimed that she has fixed her mentality on playing a great level of tennis every time she is there on the court. Even after her triumph in the French Open, Andreeva had made it clear that she wouldn’t want to set any kind of expectations on herself to avoid any sort of unwanted pressure.
“I'm trying not to put any expectations on myself, I'm trying not to think so far ahead, and uh, I will just try to have the same mindset as I had coming into the French Open. Um, you know, my goal was just to try and show a great level of tennis every match that I play, fight, um, and play my best every point, and every match that I get to play on those courts. And I think that that's the mindset I'm going to try—that I'm going to try to have when I'm going to play in London,” stated Mirra Andreeva after her recent success in the French Open.
As the 19-year old Roland Garros Champion, will have a lot to take away from her recent success, she remains grounded as she is preparing herself for the upcoming tournaments. Mirra Andreeva will be looking to win many more titles in the future and with the kind of start she has got, we could even see a young tennis champion in the making
