The 31st edition of the English Premier League will take place from August 5, which is earlier than the regular season due to the break for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar between November and December. English football club Manchester City are the two-time defending champion after winning the league in 2020-21 and 2021-22 season.
In the 2022-23 season, the English Premier League clubs are allowed to make five substitutions rather than the regular three substitutions. These substitutions can be made during the stoppages and at the half-time. The last match of the Premier League 2022-23 will be played on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
The opening match of the Premier League 2022-23 will be played between Crystal Palace and Arsenal on Saturday, August 6 at the Selhurst Park at 12:30 am IST. The forthcoming Premier League season will restart on December 26 after the conclusion of World Cup on December 18.
