Thisara Perera-led Jaffna Stallions won the first edition of the Lanka Premier League where they beat Galle Gladiators in the final fixture.
The Lanka Premier League 2021, which was expected to commence on the 29th July 2021, has been rescheduled and will now take place from 19th November to 12th December 2021.
Mitchell McClenaghan, Nicholas Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford, David Wiese and Calum Ferguson are some of the other players who have made themselves available.
Two new franchises are expected to come in as replacement this year.
The inaugural edition of LPL was won by Jaffna Stallions, who defeated Galle Gladiators by four wickets in the final.
LPL will have to struggle to get bigger names in the tournament this year, in case it resumes later.
Notably, the first edition of the tournament was held successfully during the pandemic from November 26 to December 16 last year.
