Back in April 2024, Ghosal retired from professional squash after achieving unprecedented achievements in the sport.
The Indian will take on Malaysia’s NG Eain Yow in men’s singles final on October 5.
India, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Malaysia, Egypt, South Africa, Australia, and Colombia will fight for the trophy from June 13-17 in Chennai.
The Indian pair opened the game confidently to secure an 11-8 win over their Australian opponents in the first round.
Ghosal will now play in the bronze medal match.
Ghosal defeated Scotland’s Greg Lobban 11-5, 8-11, 11-7, 11-3 to register a superb win in the quarterfinals on Monday.
