India to play first T20 World Cup 2024 match on June 5
India, the inaugural T20 World Cup champions from 2007, will be kick-starting their campaign in the 2024 edition of the tournament in a Group A match against Ireland on June 5, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in East Meadow, New York, the USA. In the last edition of the T20 World Cup in 2022, India bowed out of the tournament after losing to England by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval in the semi-final, which is something they will be looking to put right in the next month or so.
