After the confirmation of the PSL 6, another major T20 league is all set to commence later this year. The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) is scheduled to take place in the month of August and September 2021. According to the organisers, St Kitts & Nevis is reportedly safe from the virus outbreak in the Caribbean for the successful hosting of the tournament.
CPL 2021 to begin on August 28
In the latest update, the league officials have finally confirmed the dates of the forthcoming edition. The tournament is set to begin on August 28, with the final scheduled to take place on 19th September. Notably, the entire tournament which includes around 33 matches, will be played at a single venue, which is likely to be Warner Park.
"Warner Park has been the scene of some of the most iconic matches in CPL history and the high scoring ground will be an ideal venue for the tournament, and fans can expect explosive cricket," the CPL organisers were quoted as saying.
Along with this, the organisers also confirmed the presence of fans at the venue under some slated guidelines and conditions.
