Gujarat Titans' captain Shubman Gill recently displayed a heartfelt gesture off the field. The Indian youngster has donated medical equipment worth INR 35 Lakh to the Civil Hospital in Mohali. As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the donation includes ventilators, syringe pumps, OT tables, ceiling lights, ICU beds, and X-ray machines. This isn't just any hospital for Gill. The youthful opener got his start in Mohali. From a schoolboy, hitting balls in Phase-10 nets to donning the India blue, the city has been a part of his journey since the beginning.

Civil surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain extended gratitude towards Shubman Gill for his noble gesture, and said that the donation will be of great help to patients and the hospital. “The equipment would be used after assessing the need. If any other hospital is in need, it can be provided," she said. Since Mohali is close to Shubman Gill, he has planned to build a home in the city.
