Pakistan Cricket Board went on to start their own T20 league called Pakistan Super League in 2016, which started after the success of several T20 leagues across the globe starting from the IPL in 2008.
Indian players also were never seen playing in the other T20 leagues but some of the overseas players have featured in both IPL & PSL. Hence, here in this article, we will have a look at players who have represented CSK in the IPL and also played in the PSL.
5 CSK Players who have played in PSL
1. Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali who will be part of CSK in the 2024 IPL also, has already played three seasons for the Chennai franchise where he has scored 725 runs from 35 innings (40 games) at a strike rate of 137.31 and also he has taken 23 wickets for them at an economy of 6.84.
Moeen Ali played for Multan Sultans in 2020 PSL, where he went on to score 138 runs from 9 innings at a strike rate of 130.18 and also took five wickets with the ball in that season.

2. Dwayne Bravo
Dwayne Bravo, who has been an integral part of CSK for over a decade in the IPL till 2022, has taken 140 wickets for the five-time IPL champions at an economy of 8.37 and also he has scored 1004 runs with the bat at a strike rate of 137.16.
Dwayne Bravo has played 14 matches in PSL for two different franchises Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators, where he has taken 11 wickets with the ball at an economy of 8.33 and also scored 134 runs from 12 innings with the bat.

3. Faf du Plessis
Faf du Plessis was associated with CSK for seven IPL seasons till the 2021 edition, where he recorded 2721 runs from 86 innings (92 matches) at an average of 35.34 with a strike rate of 131.45 respectively.
Faf du Plessis has played six matches in PSL for Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, where he has recorded a total of just 107 runs from five innings.

4. Shane Watson
Shane Watson played three IPL seasons for CSK during 2018, 2019 & 2020 respectively, where he scored 1,252 runs from 43 innings at a strike rate of 136.38 with an average of 30.54.
Shane Watson has played 46 matches in PSL for both Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators respectively, where he has scored 1361 runs from 46 innings at a strike rate of 138.59.

5. Sam Billings
Sam Billings has played 11 matches for CSK in IPL, where the majority of the games (10) came in the 2018 edition. He has recorded 108 runs for the Chennai franchise in IPL at a strike rate of 131.71.
Sam Billings has played 23 matches in PSL for franchises like Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars, where he has recorded 402 runs from 19 innings at a strike rate of 131.37.
