Former England captain Ben Stokes stood in disbelief after he was bowled by a ripping leg-break from Yuzvendra Chahal during the County Championship match. It was a flighted delivery outside off-stump and the left-hander got down on one knee to defend the ball but was undone by the dip. The delivery breached the gap between bat and pad to crash onto the stumps. It was a dream ball from the Indian spinner and immediately after getting dismissed, Ben Stokes was left stunned before he acknowledged the delivery. Chahal broke out into celebrations as the Northants fielders followed him. This video has gone viral on X with fans praising the leg-spinner.

Stokes had been set and looking solid until that ball bamboozled him. Yuzvendra Chahal has been the pick of the bowlers for Northampton as they bowled out Durham for 205 in the first innings. The leg-spinner finished with figures of 4-36 in 15.2 overs and has brought his side back into the game. Durham are currently leading the Division Two standings with 191 points from 10 matches while Northamptonshire are third with 151 points from their 10 matches. Earlier in the game, former Indian opener Mayank Agarwal also made his debut for Durham and he started his innings by hitting consecutive fours to Chahal before he was dismissed for 36 by Ben Sanderson.

Aaqib Nabi picks up First Wicket for Surrey

Indian pacer Aaqib Nabi, making his debut for Surrey against Yorkshire at The Oval, picked up his first wicket in English county cricket. He dismissed Kuldeep Yadav who was caught in the slips by Ollie Pope. The right arm pacer  finished with figures of 1 for 33 from 15 overs as Surrey bowled Yorkshire out for 185. The 29-year-old joined Surrey for three matches to strengthen their bowling options in the fight to stay in Division One. He bowled really well on Day 1 but was not lucky enough to get a wicket. He finally had his maiden County wicket and it was a memorable occasion for the Jammu and Kashmir pacer.

Nabi was part of the Indian squad for the Sri Lankan series but could not get a place in the team. BCCI had suggested Surrey to sign the pacer for a few matches so that he gets enough preparation ahead of the New Zealand series. The right arm pacer will play three more matches for Surrey and gain crucial experience before the upcoming New Zealand tour where he could be making his debut as the conditions could suit his style of bowling. The first Test against New Zealand will begin on 19th November.
