When asked about getting Shubman Gill as his debut captain, Manav said, “ Yes, possibly. Since we have played together at the Gujarat Titans, he understands my bowling and strengths very well. Based on that, he guides me regarding field placement, match situations, and lines and lengths I should bowl”
‘Manav Suthar is genuinely special’, Washington Sundar heaves praise of Indian debutant
Washington Sundar highly praised debutant left-arm spinner Manav Suthar after his impressive three-wicket haul in the one-off Test against Afghanistan. He highlighted Suthar’s dedicated run-up and full body weight into every delivery as a key skill for his speciality and also to be a good prospect for Team India in future.
“Manav Suthar has been outstanding, and he is genuinely special. Those of us who have seen him for the past few years know exactly what he brings to the table, especially in this format. He has a lot of skills, and he has really worked hard on that. What stands out is his ability to turn the ball. He has good experience in red ball, his run up, load up, and the effort he puts into bowling is a treat to watch for sure,” said Sundar to the reporter.
