Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has tested positive for Covid-19. Harbhajan's wife Geeta Basra has also contracted the virus. The 41-year old took to Twitter to announce the news and also requested those who came in contact with him to get tested at the earliest.

Notably, Harbhajan recently announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

"I've tested positive for COVID with mild symptoms. I have quarantined myself at home and taking all the necessary precautions. I would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest. Please be safe and take care," Harbhajan tweeted.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan's wife Geeta Basra said in an Instagram story: "After being so careful and trying to dodge this damn thing for 2 years, the virus finally caught us."

Harbhajan was scheduled to play for India Maharajas in the ongoing Legends League Cricket. However, Harbhajan was ruled out of the tournament as he did not travel to Oman due to personal reasons.
