The schedule for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 has been announced by International Cricket Council (ICC). The tournament starts on October 16 with Sri Lanka taking on Namibia in Round 1 Qualifiers. The final will be played on November 16. Meanwhile, India will open its ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 campaign with a blockbuster tie against Pakistan on October 23 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.

A total of 16 teams will play the tournament, with 12 teams qualifying for the Super 12 stages. India and Pakistan are placed together in group 2 in Super 12 round for the tournament. They will be joined by Bangladesh, South Africa and two teams from the first round in the group. The tournament will follow the same Super 12 format as the 2021 edition.

The Super 12 stage will begin on 22nd October 2022, with defending champions Australia taking on New Zealand in a repeat of 2021 edition's final.
