The match no. 9 of IPL 2021 produced another roller-coaster contest in IPL 2021. The game between Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad in Chennai on Saturday saw Rohit Sharma’s side producing another brilliant performance with the ball as David Warner’s side faced a deja vu moment during the run-chase.

The contest began in dramatic fashion as Warner announced four changes in the side although he did not remember the names. As Mumbai opted to bat first, a brilliant spell of bowling from Vijay Shankar (2/19) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (2/29) put the defending champions on the backfoot. However, a late blitz from Kieron Pollard (35* off 22) guided MI to a competitive total of 150/5 in 20 overs.

In reply, SRH were once cruising towards the target on the back of an explosive knock from Jonny Bairstow (43 off 22). However, just like their previous match against RCB, Warner’s side lost their way after the dismissal of their skipper. The new boys in the side failed to make an impact as Hyderabad lost their last 8 wickets for mere 47 runs and suffered their third defeat of the season after playing as many games.

From Sunrisers Hyderabad choking once again to Mumbai Indians showing their class, the fans really had a lot to talk about during this entertaining contest.
